𝗦𝗘𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴

As seen on SEC’s official Facebook- The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) informs the public that, in its meeting held on 13 August 2026, the Commission En Banc resolved to expose for public comment the draft Memorandum Circular on the Proposed SEC Rules on Market Making.

The proposed rules seek to establish a regulatory framework for market making in the Philippines, consistent with the mandates of the Securities Regulation Code (SRC) and aligned with international best practices. Market making mechanisms are widely recognized for enhancing market liquidity, improving price discovery, and supporting capital formation while promoting fair, efficient, and orderly markets.

The SEC invites all interested parties to submit their comments, suggestions, and recommendations on the proposed draft Memorandum Circular.
