As seen on SEC’s official Facebook – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is proposing to delegate the function of granting the Philippine Green Equity Label to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) in order to streamline processes and align with international standards.

The Commission on October 8 issued for public comment the revised SEC Guidelines on the Philippine Green Equity, which seeks to amend SEC Memorandum Circular No, 13, Series of 2025โ€”the first green equity guidelines in Southeast Asia.

Under the proposed rules, the Commission seeks to transfer the authority to evaluate applications and grant the Philippine Green Equity Label from the SEC Markets and Securities Regulation Department to the PSE.

Interested parties may submit their comments to the draft rules via email to pmllimosinero@sec.gov.ph with the proposed subject line of โ€œCOMMENTS ON THE REVISED SEC GUIDELINES ON PHILIPPINE GREEN EQUITYโ€ on or before October 19, 2026.
