Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza outlined the Bureau’s DARES reform agenda at the 5th SGV Tax Symposium 2026 on October 19 in Makati City, highlighting digital modernization, fairer audits, stronger revenue protection, and improved taxpayer services.

The BIR is pursuing immediate improvements that taxpayers can readily feel while institutionalizing reforms for lasting improvements in tax administration.
