As seen on SEC’s Official Facebook – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) highlighted the importance of submitting credible and transparent sustainability disclosures among corporations to boost investor confidence and ensure business continuity during the ASEAN-EU Sustainability Summit 2026 held in Cebu.
Organized by the EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) in partnership with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), the Summit convened government and private sector stakeholders ahead of the ASEAN Leaders’ Summit to advance cross-sectoral collaboration on sustainability, trade resilience, and regional economic integration amid increasing global uncertainty.
The Commission joined regional policymakers, business leaders, sustainability advocates, and international organizations at the Summit where discussions focused on strengthening sustainability governance, economic resilience, and credible environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting across ASEAN.
Commissioner Javey Paul D. Francisco, Sustainability Committee Chair of the SEC, participated in the Industry Exchange Panel titled “ESG Commitments and Credible Reporting: Strengthening Transparency and Trust in ASEAN.”
